  • 4×4 car rent with A/C.
  • Airport transfers.
  • Fuel and road fees.
  • Tour Guide fees.  Please note that a team of tour guides work for Real Sudan and therefore tours guided by Samir are dependent upon his availability.  All RS tour guides are fluent in English and university graduates with degrees in Sudan history.
  • Entry fees.
  • All meals outside Khartoum.  Breakfast normally consists of eggs, cheese, and jam.  Lunch is a light meal; normally tuna, cheese and chips.  Dinner is the main meal; normally consisted of soup, cooked veges, chicken or meat.
  • Bottled water, all hot and cold drinks are included.
  • All Accommodations (16 nights).  1-night stay in a hotel in Khartoum and 6 nights camping or local guest houses outside Khartoum.  Camping or staying in a local guest house is to be decided by the tour guide after consulting with you.
  • Invitation letter, traveling permits and photo permission.
  • Registration fees.

  1. Day1 - 22nd February Khartoum
    • National Museum.  Confluence of the Nile.  Republican Palace Museum (except Mon and Sat).  Kitchener Gunboat. 
    • Afternoon: Attend the Sufi ritual in Hamed El Nile (Friday only).  Or the Nubian Wrestling (Fri–Sat–Wed)
  2. Day2 - 23rd February Tam Tam
    • Khartoum.  Tam Tam (2 cars)
    • Camping overnight.
    • Old Dongola  (Fort on the west road)

     

  3. Day3 - 24th February Wadi El Milk
    • Tam Tam.  Wadi El Milk.  Oasis of El Bab. (2 cars)
    • Camping overnight.
  4. Day4 - 25th February Oasis El Bab
    • Oasis El Bab.  Old Dongola (2 cars)
    • Local guest house.
  5. Day5 - 26th February Old Dongola & El Khandaq
    • Continue with 1 car.
    • Old Dongola attractions.
    • Take the ferry  to the east; travel to El Khandaq and explore the old city.
    • Night stay in El Khandaq Local house
  6. Day6 - 27th February Kerma
    • El Khandaq to Kerma and visit its attractions (West Deffufa–East Deffufa–Dogogil if open) The site museum.
    • Visit the local market in the afternoon.
    • Night stay in local guest house.
  7. Day7 - 28th February Tombos
    • Kerma to Tombos.
    • Visit the Granite Quarry.  The Rock Graffiti.  Boat ride in the Nile, the Island.
    • Night stay in Tombos.
  8. Day8 - 29th February Sesibi
    • Tombos.  Messeda.  Nauri.  Sebu.  3rd Cataract.  Cross the Nile in Delgo.
    • Night stay in Sesibi (possible in the Nubian guesthouse)
  9. Day9 - 1st March Soleb
    • Sesibi temple.  Travel to Soleb.  Visit the temple.
    • Night stay in Soleb guesthouse.
  10. Day10 - 2nd March Jebel Dosha
    • Sunrise in Soleb.  Jebel Dosha.  Sedeinga.  Gobet Salim.
    • Arrive in Sai Island and nights stay in local guesthouse.

     

  11. Day11 - 3rd March Sai Island
    • Sai Island attractions.
    • Night stay in Sai.
  12. Day12 - 4th March Idris Shrine
    • Sai Island.  Idris Shrine.  New Dongola.
    • Night stay in a hotel.
  13. Day13 - 5th March Karima
    • New Dongola.  Karima.
    • Hike Jebel Barkal for the sunset.
    • Local guesthouse in Karima.
  14. Day14 - 6th March El Kurru
    • Karima site.  Karima market.
    • Boat ride to El Kuru river (about 1.5 hour)
    • The Petrified forest.

     

  15. Day15 - 7th March Nuri & Bayuda Desert
    • Nuri.  Ghazali.  Bayouda desert visit local nomads in the desert (according to availability)
    • Arrive in Meroe and camp overnight or hotel or local guesthouse.
    • Possibly stop at El Damer market (according to time)

     

  16. Day16 - 8th March Meroe
    • Meroe.  Royal City.  Musawwarat.  Naga.  6th Cataract.
    • Back to Khartoum.
    • Hotel stay in Khartoum
  17. Day17 - 9th March Khartoum
    • The Camel Market (available in Sat and Wed).  Khalifa House.  Mahdi Tomb.  Om Dorman Market and the local handicrafts workshops.
    • The Sufi ritual in Hamed El Nil (Friday only)
    • Or the Nubian Wrestling (Fri–Sat–Wed)

    Note: Most of Khartoum historical attractions close in Monday.
