  1. Day1 Khartoum
    • National Museum.  Confluence of the Nile.  Republican Palace Museum (except Mon and Sat).  Kitchener Gunboat.  Khalifa House.  Imam El Mahdi Tomb.  Om Dorman local Market.
    • Afternoon: Attend the Sufi ritual in Hamed El Nile(Friday only)  Or the Nubian Wrestling (Fri–Sat-Wed)

    Note: Most of Khartoum historical attractions close in Monday.

  2. Day2 Naga and Musawwarat
    • Drive to Naga and Musawwarat and visit its temples.  During the rainy season (end of June–July–Aug–Sept); visiting Naga and Musawwarat would be impossible if there’s rain in the valley leads to these sites.
    • Lunch.
    • Stop at the local well in Naga and meet the local while gathering for the water.
    • Arrive in Meroe Pyramids Field and camp overnight.
  3. Day3 Meroe
    • Explore Meroe Pyramids.
    • Travel to Port Sudan via Atbara and Suakin.
    • Arrive in Port Sudan and check in the hotel.
    • Night stay in Port Sudan.
  4. Day4 Port Sudan
    • Free day
    • Optional activities: Diving (Sanganeb Reef).

     

  5. Day5 Port Sudan
    • City tour in Port Sudan: Port Sudan Museum, Natural Museum, Fish market, walk along the Cornish.
    • Hotel stay in Port Sudan.
  6. Day6 Atbara
    • Travel to Atbara.
    • Night stay in Atbara.
  7. Day7 Atbara
    • City tour in Atbara.
    • Travel to Karima.
    • Night stay in Karima.
  8. Day8 Karima
    • Explore Karima attractions.  Karima market.  Boat ride to El Kurru (about 1.5 hour).  The Petrified forest.
    • Night stay in Karima.
  9. Day9 Nuri & Ghazali
    • Nuri.  Ghazali.
    • Travel to Kerma.
    • Night stay in Kerma.
  10. Day10 Kerma
    • Visit West and East Deffufa and the local museum.
    • Travel to Old Dongola.
    • Night stay in Old Dongola.
  11. Day11 Old Dongola
    • Explore Old Dongola in the morning.
    • Travel back to Khartoum.

Camping or staying in a local guest house is to be decided by the tour guide after consulting with you.

Note: There is a luxury accommodation available in Khartoum (Corinthia hotels),  in Meroe (the Tented camp) and Karima (the Nubian guest house).   Let me know if you would like to include them.
